Footer hyperlinks won't change color

Hi, I've added the following code to my stylesheet to make the siteinfo text all white but for some reason the links are still appearing as red. Anybody have any ideas? I'm baffled

try making the changes as indicated by the highlighted portions:

Hmm, I thought we were on to something there Clyde. Unfortunately, that didn't work. I'll keep looking in the stylesheet to see where it's getting the different a:link color but my eyes just aren't picking it up. :wacko:

Hi I am working at changing the font color from (default blue) in the Information side box, and below the search box where it says "advanced search" seems to be all text words that change color when you hover over them (are currently blue) Can anyone point me to the right spot in the stylesheet to change this. I have figured out where to change the hover color from red to the color I want but not the actual text prior to when you run your mouse over then...groan is t his making sense?

do the same thing with the following declaration:

.sideBoxContent a,
.sideBoxContent li a {
background: #000; /* change to whatever color you want */
}

.sideBoxContent a:hover,
.sideBoxContent li a:hover {
background: #000; /* change to whatever color you want */
}
