in attributes, option value order does not carry over, why??

Hello,
I've set up option values, with an appropriate sort order in the option values section.
Some of my products, upon adding these option values as attributes, do show the option values' sort order, other ones do not.
I know that I manually edited the option values sort values in the table itself using sqlyog, but after I did this the values carried into the products I added that day.
All the products I added today (100+ products, 3000+ clicks) do not show the sort order for the option values I gave each item for its attributes (color and size).
What should I do to have the order number (e.g. 10, 20, etc.) show up for each option value in my atttributes??
Oh...when I go back to my options values controller in admin, the sort order values do appear.

Never mind, I discovered that I must click 'update sort' for every product.
Could this be implemented in 1.4 such that the pre-set sort is automatically included for every option value added to any attribute??

You could set the Default Sort Order for your Option Values ... then when you want to sort the Catalog of Products use the Tools ... Store Manager ...
