Flash Category Images

Hi

I am looking to see if there is a way to change the category image found at the top of the product listing/info pages to be a flash animation.

I only have 3 categories and they are all styled individually using css. I am currently using animated gif's, but in order to get a nice flowing image the files are massive and so very slow to load.

Does anyone know how I would go about adding flash instead of an image? :blink:

There have been plenty of posts on the forum about flash. If you search the forum, you will probably find a suitable solution for your needs, as there are several options that have been shown to work.

Hi, Thanks for the reply.

I did have a good look through the forum before posting and could only find flash information relating to the header image, not the category image.

Has anyone done this flash change before then?

The basic principle will probably apply. There is a difference though... you will want a DIFFERENT flash file to play for each category.

This may require some specialised custom coding.

Great thanks, I've had a play and managed to imbed the flash into each category description so it works that way. Thanks for the help. Claire
