HELP NEEDED - Search Box Question

Hello Fellow Zenners,

I have a question about my website search box feature.

Is there a way to turn of the searching of my products metatags??? as i have very similar metatags for all my products, i would prefer my website search engine only searches product titles and page descriptions. Is this possible???? :frusty:

Also does anyone know if there is a search engine indexing or optimization process i can follow.

Are you talking about the "search" function within zencart - or how to configure web meta-tags that result in search engines (eg: Google) indexing your site?

The internal search function in zencart does not use meta tags to find relevant data - it calls this data off the database.

OK Thanks, i was not sure if my website search box looked at my metatags so it must be searching my page desciptions, is there a way to turn off the page search of desciption and only search product names???

sorry to bring up an old thread but i am trying to find a way to search just titles and not descriptions when using the search bar?

i would like to know this as well, And yes the sidebox or header search function does search your meta tags.....
