Sidebox Footer Image

Hello,

I used this link...

https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/index.php?article=135

...to use an image as a sidebox header.

I would like to do the same for the footer, however, currently, the footer is a bottom-border css tag.

How would I achieve the same results as the above tutorial, but for the footer instead? I've been trying to figure it out for hours with no success.

Thanks much!

Re: Sidebox Footer Image

I figured it out. I edited and created my own custom categories.php.

I simply added <img src=""> to the bottom of that php file.

Re: Sidebox Footer Image

Hey Esoin,

I am also having trouble adding a footer to the sideboxes. Can you explain how you changed the categories.php? I tried adding an <img src=""> at the bottom of the tpl_categories.php found under the folder sideboxes, but I'm pretty sure that I'm doing something wrong. After you made the change, was it applied to all sideboxes, or just the categories?

Thank you for your help!

Re: Sidebox Footer Image

Does anyone have an easier explanation about adding an image background to the footer?

Re: Sidebox Footer Image

The best way to do this is to apply the footer image as a background-image in the .sideBoxContent or #categoriesContent (or whatever) declaration in your stylesheet. Or, you might want to apply it to .leftBoxContainer and/or .rightBoxContainer or #categories. It all depends on exactly how you want the whole box styling to work.

Use padding-bottom and background-position: bottom center; to clear space for the image and position it.
