Customizing - 'New Products for March'

How do I customize 'New Products For March' ?

At the moment it displays stock pictures and items but I can't see where I can add my own images and information.

It's job is to choose a selection of new products from your database and display them in a box. If you want it to do something different you would need to re-write it. But that would be a major undertaking requiring a much more advanced knowledge of Zen Cart's structure than your other posts suggest you have attained - yet! :wink:

Maybe you could be more specific about what you want to achieve as I suspect that there will be much easier ways to achieve it.

If I'm understanding your problem correctly, one solution could be to use the Featured Products module instead and rename it to "New Products for March". This way, you can handpick exactly which products would appear. The downside being that you would have to manually update the month every four weeks. I'm sure you could add a little code to show the current month. Or just call it "New Products".

Of course, if you want control of the text that appears as well, I would instead recommend adding a html table to your main page using the Define Pages Editor and designing it to match your site.

I've just purchased the software, the home page has this 'New Products for March (or whatever month).

It has a stock of ambiguous/generic graphics and prices.

That's fine if I could lose the stock pictures and replace them with the items that I am populating the site with.

If you are not starting from the default Zen Cart template, you will need to tell/show us where you are starting from.

Have you therefore installed Zen Cart with all the demo data? If so, you can simply turn those categories off (or delete them) in Admin > Catalog > Categories/Products.

All I want to do is remove/delete/cancel/eradicate, exterminate....the default images and details and replace them with my own.

At present the 'New Products For March' are not relevant and I can't see where in the admin I can change them.
