Hi at all,
Ive installed, ZC 1.3.8 and a german language file.
Everything is nice ONLY the CONFIGURATION is full in english.
How can I translate this?
Pleas help?

You might look in the EU community - or roll up you sleeves and use the tools and translate it file by file....

I dont unserstand why ONLY the CONFIGURATION is in english!

You can start with /admin/includes/languages/"language".php
Where language is the language you are working in in your case this should be german.php - but you want to translate /admin/includes/languages/english.php
This will get 80-90% of the admin in your language

I think we are talking in two ways...
I included the german LANGfile:
The frontend is full in german :-)
The backend is in german, too ONLY the points in configuration are still in english. There is no error linke MY_STORE or something else... as a translation, it is only english like My Store....
The old ZenCart Version 1.3.7 was OK, also in the admin with the configuration part,everything was in german....
So... where is the problem???

I'm guessing the problem is that a complete german language version of Zen Cart 1.3.8 is not out yet.

But the latest version listed is for version 1.3.7

This is located at includes/languages and for the frontend not the ADMIN

The Admin menu options in the configuration section are not multi-lingual.
If you want to change them, feel free to make your own edits to the configuration table. Be aware that future updates may override your changes.

the configuration is not multilingual? Ups....
Hmm but in 1.3.7 it was fine..english german... etc.
OK in 1.3.8 everything change!!! Thats sad... but I like the 1.3.8... ok I have to live with the english administration.... ;-)
Is it on the roadMap?

My question is, why the the config menu texts are stored in db? That's a problem, you can't translate admin panel due to this :/

i have the same problem every thing translated into arabic but configuration list seems not to pass by the language file !
so is there any clues for solving this problem i mean creating required code or some thing ? i know u can do it !:yes:
by the way i spent days trying to find out the problem
so i wont give up now being tottaly zenned :flex:

im having the same problem in spanish, all the admin section is in spanish besides from the configuration dropdown menu, that still in english, i was looking for the translation file all over ,, until i realised that the text comes from the database, and there is no way to translate it, my question is why??:censored: why only this part comes from database?? if some one knows any solution please let me know, thanks.

Can it be solved?
I have translated whole admin area into swedish but also ran into this issue with not being able to translate the part under Configuration.
Why is this in the database and the rest of admin is not?
And can it be solved somehow. Is it possible to setup a MySql-patch the keeps the translations so that everyone can finish their translations and install the patch? Im not good with making SQL-querys so I would be glad if someone could help.
If we can have many languages for the adminpart Zencart will get more users I think.
Any help is appreciated!
