Copying all attributes to all products - HELP!

First off, I set up one test product that works GREAT!!

http://klassicglamour.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1&products_id=1

I had noticed that there was global copying to other products allowed, so I gleefully created the other 99 products in that category (Black Light Gallery).

Now, in the Zen Cart manual, I see "You can create an attribute and choose to have it added to other products. The target products (which must have at least one option value defined) ...."

What?!? Did I just shoot myself in the foot here? NOW, here in the forum, I see a suggestion about creating a "template" product, and then copying and editing that. D'oh.

Is there ANY way, at this point, I can copy my attributes to my products? Or has this been one big learning experience for me? (o ghod plz no)

Any help and I'll be your bestest friend forever. I'll bake cookies!

Re: Copying all attributes to all products - HELP!

First backup your DB in case you mess up

In the attributes controller select the product "FireFly" that has the attributes you want copied

When it loads close to the top will be several options look for copy to category
Select it and then your category "Black Light Gallery"

Check options before proceeding

KOBRA I LOVE YOU!!!

I can't believe I didn't SEE that! Right across the page near the top, the very last "Copy To" button says "Category"! I just did it, and IT'S ALL THERE! Even the pricing!

Man, I must have been tired not to see something right in front of me like that ... but thank you so much for pointing it out for me! If you have a PO Box or something I will TOTALLY send cookies!

Time = Money

Used Daily = 15 min x 365 x $20 = 91.25hrs/$1825

Once written you save every year

Offer up $1825 and I or another will jump at writing a routine for this

Used once-twice a year - suck it up & don't be so "lazy"(your term)

Kobra ~
I know there is a way to do this, as I had stumbled upon it once before, but for the life of me, I cannot figure it out again! :shocking: I added additional text/description on one of my products, and want to copy it over to all of my products.

http://www.juliartz.com/shopping/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=8&products_id=250

All this text needs to be added to all of my other. Could you take my hand and lead me in the right direction? Simple instructions please, as I confuse very easily in this area. Thanks bunches in advance!

:shocking: hmmm, and where is this found? How do I add this? I'm a truly complete html stupido! :bangin:

There is a way, I know, I think in attributes where you can copy it all over. I did it once after about 4 hours of fiddling around in zen, but now, I've fiddled and fiddled and can't discover what I fiddled before! I have about 100 photographs to list to the current 200 plus already there, but wont do that until I can figure this out.
