Cannot create new specials in Admin

Hi -

In the specials page in admin, when I click on New Product, the "Product:" multi-select box is blank (no products or categories show up).

This is under 1.3.7. I've previously used EZ Populate to both enter products and create specials. Perhaps that has somehow altered the products so they're not showing correctly?

Has anyone else seen this? Any ideas on how I can troubleshoot this?

Check your product to make sure they have a Master Category ID. If not go to Admin> Tools> Store Manager and follow the instructions for resting them - Back up first!

Thanks for the reply! You were correct, my Master Product ID was screwed up for all products. I followed the directions to reset it, but unfortunately, the problem is still there - no products listed when I try to create a special.

I don't know if this means anything (or is at all related), but I noticed that I also can't set a "Date Available" in the Products/Categories section. I can try to set one, but every time I go back to the product, the Date Available is always blank.

I still need help. Pretty Please! I installed a fresh copy of zen-cart and restored only my products (not templates or anything else) to this new install and I still can't create new specials. In the new specials section, the multi-select list to choose a product is still blank. I have to conclude that there is something wrong with my products or in my db structure, but I don't know what.

I've spent several hours in phpMyAdmin trying to find any differences between the default demo products (on a separate zen-cart install) and the products from my db, and I'm not able to find any differences. Can somebody point me in the right direction to look?

How does zen-cart populate the "Products" multi-select box on the new specials screen? Anybody know where that is in the php code? What db elements does it use?
