Paypal Payments Pro without upgrade?

I currently use 1.3.7.1 and would like the PayPal Payments pro feature... can I do this without upgrading to 1.3.8 which looks like a huge pain in the ###### since I have couple of contributions installed.

thats what I figured....I mean comparing every single files in WinMerge is gonna take hours and hours....

is there a list of changes from 1.3.7.1 to 1.3.8 .. there can't be that much... so I don't have to go through every file.

Yes, there is documentation in the /docs/ folder to help you.

oh wow, that's a lot of changed files... I'm having some problems with my current store anyways, might be easier to just do a fresh install..
