uploading jpg`s

i think i have come to the conclusion my header changing issues is.

when i upload a jpg it enters me server as a text file.
my cpanel is entered through my host siteground and has an upload option but there are no sub options.
is there anything i should do to assure it goes in as a jpeg.
i have followed all the override guides but i end up with a blank header.

i am sure this is because the img i am pointing to my header is showing as a text/x-generic file.

any ideas?

Re: uploading jpg`s

Get an FTP client like FileZilla or SmartFTP. Both are free downloads from the internet. Use the "auto" setting which will automatically use the correct format depending on what kind of file you're uploading/downloading and will help prevent files from being corrupted or unusable.
