FedEx shipping module for dropshipping?

I am a distributor of a brand name and the company that owns the brand name allows me the option of dropshipping the items to my customers. This means that I have no relation the carrier (unless I choose to store products and ship them). Is there a FedEx shipping module (FedEx dropshipping module) for this so I can offer shipping options to my customers without a FedEx account?

I have searched high and low, but could not find my answer. I am a distrubutor of a company and sell their brand products. I have a website (not finished yet) and my customers would place an order there and pay for it there. Then when I recieve notification, and payment, of their order I login to my account at the website for the company I distribute for and order what my customer ordered and make the ship to address my customers address and I just pay the wholesale price for the items. This company has a FedEx account and they dropship the products to my customers for me. What ever I put as the ship to address when I place an order on their website (when logged in) is where they ship it to. This company offers FedEx Ground delivery and FedEx Express (Next-Day and 2-Day). The fees for the three shipping options are not flat fees and would be figured using a table, like the way the table rate shipping module that comes with Zen Cart works. I would need three table rates one for FedEx Ground, one for FedEx Next-Day, and another for FedEx 2-Day. I have the regular FedEx shipping module (found here). Is there a way I can modify both the table rate file and the files with regular FedEx module and combine them to get the module I need? Would someone help me to make this kind of module? Please help me!

I will attempt to develop this type of module, but could really use some help because I am an amateur programmer.

This module also will need a table rate for handling because my packaging/handling fee is also not a flat fee, but the handling fee is the same for all shipping options.

If someone could just tell me the coding to put in a file for a module that will make the table rate I could work from there.

It would also need a table method so I could choose the rate tables to be based on either weith, number of items or price.

you can then use the drop shippers address and zipcode for the ship from address in the ZC setup

That's the problem the company whose products I distribute has more than one warehouse and there is no way for me to know which one the products are coming from.

Since you have no idea which wharehouse items are coming from then there really is no way to even begin to do what you want,

Plus I still need to use a rate table for each shipping option (Ground, Express next day, and Express 2 day) and a rate table for the handling fee.

Ok since a FedEx account is free, which I was unaware of lets work with this. I have the FedEx Ground module and FedEx Express module so how can I add a rate table to each module? Also what about a seperate shipping module that handles Handling/Packaging fees for all shipping options (i.e. this module will have rate table and the fees specified will apply to/work with both the FedEx Ground module and the FedEx Express module)?

Ok, you dont use a table sytem, with the fedex module,

to use the fedex module you need to choose the most centraly located warehouse and use its address and zipcode in the fedex module

to do a multi zone multi table rate setup look for user dreamscape there is a link to mzmt in his signature... grab it

but your trying to make shipping to complicated,

your best bet is to use the fedex module and the most central us address and zipcode that you can get your hands onl

you will make out on some and lose on some for shipping but it will all wash in the end

Maybe this will help you understand! I do not need to submit the shipment to FedEx at all this is what the company whose products I sell does for me. I just need my customers to be able to choose what option they want regarding shipping. This is only so they can decide how fast they want to receive their products. If I were to only offer FedEx Ground delivery then I could simply make some modifications with the shipping module attached. However, I need to allow my customers to be able to choose FedEx Ground, FedEx Express Next Day, or FedEx Express 2-Day. If there is a way to do percentage rate for my Handling fee instead of a flat fee then I wouldn't need the rate table for the Handling.

Since you're not doing that, and your dropshipper is using a calculation instead of actual FedEx rates, using the FedEx module would be pointless.

If your dropshipper can supply you with the table-rate calculations they use to charge you with, then you'll need to set up your own shipping module to calculate things for the customer.

You can clone existing modules, try some existing modules to see whether they offer the features you need, or write your own. If you're not comfortable writing your own, you may need to post a request for paid help in the Commercial Help Wanted area and hire someone to write it for you.

This is what I had realized in the beginning, but with the replies I recieved I thought that maybe I could use some existing ones. I think the zonetable module is a good place to start. I was about to start to modifing it then cloning it to three seperate modules with a module for each shipping option I would provide my customers with. I did not know that there was a commercial help wanted area where I could hire someone to write a module for me I might do that, either way I'll contribute the module when it developed and post it here. Is there a way I can test such a module to see if it works without processing the order? Thanks DrByte.

in his signature is a link to Multi Zone Multi Table,
this will let you do exactly what you want to do without having to clone anything,

it will set multiple tables by zone

IE

ground
express
overnight

in different zones so that the customer in zone A will only see the table rates for their zone

This would be comlicating it since I do not need multiple zones I just need multiple tables and either a way to make the handling fee based on a percentage or also using another table.
