10565 Merchant country unsupported

Hello,

I keep getting this error when trying to pay by credit card using the "PayPal Website Payments Pro" on my new zencart 1.3.8a

error: "10565 Merchant country unsupported. - The merchant country is not supported."

I am located in canada..

site: thepurseworld.com

any ideas why this is happening (other than : it is because you are in canada!) .. can i fix this?

Re: 10565 Merchant country unsupported

Website Payments Pro is only available to US merchants.

If you want the service in Canada, you'll have to talk to the banking consortium and convince them that PayPal should be permitted to offer the service, and then connect the executives at PayPal to the right people. Then let us all know so we can enjoy the service too.

UPDATE from PayPal: Website Payments Pro will be offered in Canada in late Summer 2008*

Re: 10565 Merchant country unsupported

Hi Guys,

Well it is not only happening in Canada, but in Australia as well and PayPal does operate here?

Any clues on why this may be happening.

Thanx :)

If you have an Australian PayPal account, do not try to use Website Payments Pro at this time.

Re: 10565 Merchant country unsupported

PayPal Website Payments Pro presently works in USA, UK, and Canada only.
Other PayPal products such as Standard and Express Checkout work anywhere that PayPal has presence. You can find the list on the PayPal website.
