Problem with databse transfer oscommerce to zencart

I have checked both database names and passwords, which are correct. Both the databases are on Vodahost, so I thought it would be quite straightforward. But then we know what thought did! I have just returned to my site which is now showing a different error - 1146 Table '******_zc3.db_cache' doesn't exist
in:

That table is not used or called with the scripts so that error in not coming from the import script.

You must remember that these import scripts run independent of zen cart.

Hi Skip,
I am still struggling with this import! I have deleted my site and reimported zen cart to my site. This wasn't a problem as I have only just started this site so had no info to lose. I want to transfer the products from my previous oscommerce site to the new zencart site and Oscommerce data transfer seems ideal. I have checked the database details, passwords etc and they are correct. The problem I have now is that when I try to import the products I get the following error.

Whilst I am new to this, I have built 3 other sites using zen cart and found the forum a great way to learn, but this has me stumped!!!!
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am using 1.8 version. On Zen cart 1.38. I have read the readme.txt and the forum threads. I am only trying to import the product database from oscommerce. Both sites are on the same host, BlueVoda. When I open the import_osc_products.php in my url, it shows the correct info. ie database, password etc.
The oscommerce does not have a DB Table prefix, whilst the Zen side has DB Table prefix "zen_". I am using a customised template but have had no problems with it till now. I think that that the problem is with the oscommerce side but am totally stumped!

If you export the osc data to a sql file and then PM me with a link to download it I will look at it for you.

Hi Skip,
Thanks for all your help. I have taken the drastic step of re-installing my oscommerce site and importing the database again. Re checked all the passwords, database names etc again, and guess what? It worked! Again thanks for your advice and support.

Spoke too soon!!!!!!! Have successfully uploaded all the categories and products together with their prices, but images are missing.
I have checked the image files and they are showing in cpanel, the correct .jpg reference is showing on the product details, I have checked the permissions on the images and changed them to 755. The database which I imported was from my supplier and came complete with the image names. I uploaded the image files from their site and they seem to be correct. The file is quite large could this make a difference as when I open it in cpanel, I get a warning that the script has stopped running?

If you look at the products table in your zc database you should see the image file names. If there is no path with the name the image files must be in the images directory on your site.
Example:

stars_1.gif is in products table - field products_image the file it self must be in siteroot/images/

icons/stars_2.gif is in products table - field products_image the file it self must be in siteroot/images/icons/

Are the file names in products table - field products_image ?

Yes the images are in the product table. The images are stored in /root/images/thumbimages and root/images/mainimages and are in jpg.

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner, but had a frantic weekend!
Thankfully I have now been able to solve this problem, appears suppliers database had an error in it. They have corrected it and it's working fine now. Thanks again for all your help.
