Install XAMPP problem on Vista
My computer works on Windows Vista and use Panda as virus program.
I downloaded and installed xampp-win32-1.4.16-installer but it is not working (http://localhost does not response).
If I shut off Panda virus protector it works. I also tried with installing XAMPP while the virus scanner was off. As soon the virus scanner is active there is no response with http://localhost.
The e-Start Your Web Store with Zen Cart book describes that:
Port..........Protocol...............Software
80..............HTTP.................Apache Web Server
3306...........MySQL-spcific....MySQL Database Server
25...............SMTP................Mercury Mail Server
110.............POP..................Mercury Mail Server
In Panda I do not see these software programs or other blocking of some ports.
It also does not make a difference if the Vista firewall blocking is turned off.
What to do?
Please help.
