Different Shipping Methods for Different Weights

Hi there,
My company sells and services industrial air compressors and we are starting to put our products on the web. The problem we have run into is that UPS will only ship up to 150 pounds but we have products that range in weight from 1 pound to 1 ton so obviously anything over 150 pounds, we have to send by a freight truck. Is there a way that if a products weight goes over 150 pounds, then UPS is not given as an option but Table Rate is.
Basically what I need it to do is:
Items from 0 - 150 lbs = shipping options of Store Pick Up and UP
Itams 15lbs and up = shipping options of Store Pick Up and Table Rate.
Is this even possible?

This might help. This post shows how to set a category to a different method than the rest of your products. For example, you could set your heavier items, such as air compressors, to "per item " or "per unit".
