"Product added to catalog" config setting not working ??

This product was added to our catalog on Thursday 16 November, 2006.
I want to turn off this on my product listings.

I set the Conifg/New Listings/Display Product Date Added set to 0. However, the it did NOT remove this information. Still shwos date added on all products. ??

You have to change the date added that is in the database for this item to a date before your setting will display it

I'm a little slow. Can you be more specific? I went to the link but it doesn't look like obvious.

You just follow the admin path that is there and set the items you do or do not want to display

As you did not provide a link to your site and the issue I had to guess if this was new products or just the date added that you did not want

It is the Date Product added to all the product listings. I followed the link admin path and there is no setting for date added.

admin > catalog > product types > general > at far right select "edit Layout" >
Show Date Added > set to "0"

Thanks. I was going into Edit instead of Edit Layout, why I wasn't finding it. All set now. Cheers...
