Per Category handling charge
Hello,
I am developing a shop for a company that delivers food locally. The owner gets basically shops for the customer at any of 10 local stores. (Walmart, Another Grocry Store, A Health Food Store etc.)
Each store has it's own category and under the category are those stores sub-categories (break fast foods, baby items etc.) -
Does anyone know if it is possible to set a handling charge per category?
I already have table rates set up to charge 20% of the order total for a gratuity and then I've added the local sales tax but what I also really need to do is add a 5.00 handling fee per category so that if the customer orders products from Walmart he is charged a 5.00 fee for Walmart and if he also orders from the health food store for the same ZC order, that he is also charged another 5.00 for that store as well since the driver has to travel to more than 1 store for the entrie order.
Here is a better breakdown of what I mean -
1.) Customer chooses the Walmart category and add 20 products to his cart. - Order total 50.00
2.) Customer then chooses the Health Food Store Category and adds 5 products to his cart - Order total 20.00
3.) The order total for both stores is now 70.00 -
Via table rates we add 20% gratuity so the order is now 84.00 and then we add the sales tax (8.00%) which brings the order total to: 90.72 -
From here we need to be able to add two 5.00 charges (one for the Walmart pick up and one for the health food store pickup giving us a grand total of 100.72.
I have browsed and searched the forums but cannot find an answer to this question.
I have tried to enable the handling fee under the table rate but of course that will only charge the customer a one time handling fee of 5.00 even if the order total came from several different stores (categories).
I do not need to charge this handling fee on sub - categories of course, only the main categories.
Thanks,
Vince
