However, I do not know form whre I can get rid of the message:

CongratulationsCongratulations! You have successfully installed your Zen Cart™ E-Commerce Solution.
Welcome Guest! Would you like to log yourself in?

From where can I delete it?:huh:

Thanks

Re: Getting rid of message

Thanks Haredo! Everything worked fine! :clap:

Can I bother you with something else?
In the index.php I have changed the "Congratulation you have installed..." for my own message. Could you tell me how can I change the font size and color of my message?

Thanks

includes/ templates/ your_template/ css/ stylesheet.css

Add the following declaration to the sheet

  1. #indexDefaultHeading {font-size: 1em;color: #FF0000;}
  2. change the red font above as you would like for the main page

Re: Getting rid of message

Yep, that works very well!:clap::clap:

Do you know how to change to blue (navy) color (do you know the code?)

Where can I read about the different codes to be used for different colors?

Thanks,
Marlake

I also changed the "Congratulations" text to something of my own but I cannot get this to work. The text just stays the same size and color. Maybe I'm "adding the declaration" incorrectly. I thought that just meant copy and paste that line into my stylesheet.css file but i guess not. :blush:

Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks!

I looked at your stylesheet and #indexDefaultHeading is not present?

Are you editing the correct stylesheet.css file

You should be looking at the one at /includes/templates/my_own_template/css/stylesheet.css

Re: Getting rid of message

Thanks for the replies.

Haredo,

Yes, but that's our live site. Guess I should've mentioned I'm working offline using WAMP. I'm not sure what color right now. I was just trying red for now to see if it would show up.

Kobra,

I am using the my_own_template/css/stylesheet.css.

Is there a particular place I need to paste the code in the stylesheet?

Re: Getting rid of message

Hi again. Well, I uploaded the test "shop" here so you can take a look...

http://www.thewindcutter.com/shop/

I don't know what happened to my sideboxes. They line up (on the right side) just fine offline (using WAMP). Also, the customer gallery is supposed to pop up lightbox style when you click on it. That works fine offline too. :dontgetit

I pasted the

#indexDefaultHeading {font-size: 1em;color: #FF0000;}

line at the bottom of my CUSTOM_TEMPLATE/css/stylesheet.css but that didn't change a thing.

Instead of trying to customize that text, I know how to remove it but how do I remove the empty space left behind and move the rest of my page up to the top?

Thanks for any help,
Rebekah

includes/ templates/ your_template/ css/ stylesheet.css

Find the following:

  1. .leftBoxFooter {
  background-image: url(../images/boxbottom.jpg);
  background-repeat: no-repeat;
  width: 160px;
  height: 7px;
  }

.rightBoxFooter {
background-image: url(../images/boxbottom.jpg);
background-repeat: no-repeat;
width: 160px;
height: 7px;
}

  1. Change the red font to 173

Re: Getting rid of message

Hmm. I tried that. What was it supposed to do? Widen the sideboxes? It doesn't seem to have worked.

Change to:

  1. #indexDefaultHeading {font-size: 1em;color: #FF0000;}
  2. change red font above to Categories
  3. Off course you know you can change FF0000, which is red to whatever you like

That worked to change the font to red. Do you know how I would change the size?
