Remove links from Information sidebox...

I can't seem to find the folder to edit the links in the information sidebox. My site is https://www.bendisskin.com. I actually want to remove the "discount coupon" link and rename the "sitemap" link. Any suggestions?

Could you be more specific on what it is you are trying to do?

Somethings can be configured in the Admin vs touching the files ...

If you have to touch the files, sideboxes are made up of two parts and the original files are located in the:
/includes/modules/sideboxes
/includes/templates/template_default/sideboxes

and you would want to use your override directories to copy the files to for customization:
/includes/modules/sideboxes/your_template_dir
/includes/templates/your_template_dir/sideboxes

Really, I just need to remove some links from the Information sidebox. The links I have to remove are Gift Certificate FAQ, Discount Coupons, and Newsletter Unsubscribe.

I've been asking lots of noobish questions that I should probably know the answers to, but being out of the game for about three years has left me quite rusty with the ol' Zen Cart! :lamo:

Provided this information is accurate, I think I have found what I am looking for.

I was able to remove certain links through the administration area, thanks for filling me in about that!

To remove the gift certificate and the discount coupon links, you can disable their respective modules in Admin -> Modules -> Order Total.

To remove the Newsletter Unsubscribe link, it's Admin -> Config -> Email Options

Thank you for the update that many of the things that you wanted to remove could actually be managed via your Zen Cart Admin without having to touch any of the code ... :smile:

This type of information on problems and solutions is always a great help to others ...

How about removing the "site map" and "conditions of use"...anything in the admin area for those?

Also, how does one change the names of sideboxes?

edit The links can be disabled in: admin => configuration => define page status.

Still wondering about the sidebox name thing, however.

I just found the solution for my other issue. To change the names of side boxes, edit the appropriate lines in: /includes/languages/english.php (control-f sidebox names to find the lines).

Just curious... why would you want to remove the site map? Googlebot loves them!

It seems the easiest way to hide items...unless there's a better way. Basically, I only want one category to be able to be viewed.
