Freight charges based on weight and destination post/zip codes in Australia only?

I'm totaly new to online forums, so if I'm doing something wrong, I must apologise first up.

I'm revamping my current web site using zen cart and going through the motions of learning how to use it. My business sells prof sound and lighting equipment as is based in Sydney Australia. I only want to sell product to customers in Australia, and use a national courier/freight service which provides shipping rates based on weight to destinations around the country based on the post (zip) code.

I'm having difficulty working out how to implement this. It seems like using Zone Rates is the way to do it, but from what I see in the tutorial this is only at a country level, not post code level.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?
