Need help adjusting the width of my site!

I am trying to adjust the width of my website http://www.jd-rc.com I went and adjusted the file

#mainWrapper {
background-color: #ffffff;
text-align: left;
width: 100%;
vertical-align: top;
}

and the file

#navMainWrapper, #navSuppWrapper, #navCatTabsWrapper {
margin: 0em;
background-color: #9a9a9a;
font-weight: bold;
color: #ffffff;
height: 1%;
width: 100%;
}

I tried several different numbers in place of the 100%. 750px, 950px, 500px. Nothing changed on my site. Can somebody help me?

Thanks

Never mind, I fixed it. I had to edit the classic template rather then the custom one:blush:
