Reward Points Module for ZC v13x

Hi, yes the PayPal IPN seems to be fine now after installing the latest version from the developer's site omnicia.com.

With regard to the boxes: if you can't find them, the only reason I can see is that you didn't copy the files from the mod's admin folder to your own admin (or whatever you call it) folder. That's a common mistake and it happened to me at the beginning. Go through the list of files again and be very careful.

Hello everyone, I'm using the latest version of zen cart and reward points module.
On check out I am shown a box saying "use your reward points", when I enter the amount of reward points to be used and click "apply" the order is completed and I'm taken to the order placed page, I don't see an option to view or modify the order in any way after that.
I do not see the box that simulates the order amount, the reward points I already have or the amount to pay after the reward points are subtracted.
I am using the lightbox template and have attached a screen shot showing the check-out reward points area.
I searched this thread but didn't see this problem posted before, any help solving the problem is much appreciated.

It might be your APPLY BUTTON is it in the fieldset and could be returning the form as complete just like the other apply/onsubmit buttons on the page. Then again I could be totaly wrong...:blink:

Got a question still.

I ran the rpd.php file just to check things, after running a few test orders.

Under the section
MySQL Database Check:

I have these errors showing

rewards_id- field missing in zen_reward_status_track!!!
customers_id- field missing in zen_reward_status_track!!!
orders_id- field missing in zen_reward_status_track!!!
date- field missing in zen_reward_status_track!!!
reward_points- field missing in zen_reward_status_track!!!
status- field missing in zen_reward_status_track!!!

Not entirely sure what I should about them.
Should I attempt to add them manually to the table? No I looked in the database table and these entries are there. They are all empty mind you even after 5 test runs.

Are they not being called from the php? Not that I would be able to something about that anyway.

Does anyone have an explanation, I just would like to learn no critasism intended. :smile:

Just had my first couple of sales since installing this and they paid through PayPal.

Guess what? No reward points are recorded.

Just using PayPal Web Standard. Could someone please point me to a solution?

Ok, Just spent the last few hrs reading EVERY post ad find there is still no real aswere. I'm using v4a and also find it does not work with 'NoChex' also. The correct sale amount is being deducted & passed but no points are awarded from either nochex or paypal IPN.

A couple of hrs sleep and I'll be removing the mod

hi, i apologise if I bring this old topic up. it's about Reward Point mod 1.40a & the Edit orders v3.03 mod.

i have been using reward point 1.40a without problem. until recently i needed to edit one customer's order, then i found Edit orders v3.03.

it's stated in Edit orders v3.03's readme that "Improved Integration with Reward Points module (DONE! as of v3.03)"

however I installed Edit orders v3.03 and notice some issues, i tried to search through the forum, couldn't find a thread has the solution:

1. during edit order, the reward point collected is showing 0.
2. if you revise the 0 is something other figure, it will turn out the figure with dollar $ sign

prior the release of Edit orders v3.03, I saw some people also pointed that out in the thread. so i thought they were probably fixed.

I tried search through thread here, can't seem to find a fix for this one. maybe I didn't search hard enough.

please advise. if there is a fix, please point me to the thread

hello, im trying to display the rewards points next to the product price on the featured products (on index page) and all product listings and product info page.

Ive got it working on product info page but i cant seem to add it to featured_products.php or any catagorie listings.

can anyone help me with the code?

i could have sworn this was working before and now is not, but i'm having issues getting the total RP to calculate correctly.

It seems to be subtracting the redeemed points from the total points after it's been subtracted in dollars.

i'm sifting through the RW point files and have yet to find what would affect that.

well, i fixed it. i don't remember how at this moment though.

Also, now that the holiday is up, is there a chance anyone can help with the Super Orders module issues people (including myself) have been having? When order status is updated, Super Orders isn't shifting points from pending to earned. I've tried setting my points to be "earned" at all status options.

is it possible to set that the reward points is only applicable to some products and exclude particular products?

e.g. 2 products, A($100) & B($100), only A is allow to redeem reward points, and the customer has $50 reward value:

if the customer buy 2 A:
$100 + $100 - $50 = $150

if the customer buy 2 B:
$100 + $100 = $200 (cant redeem the $50 on B)

is this setting possible ??

Unfortunately, it's not possible to prevent people from purchasing a specific product with reward points. I asked this question over a year ago when I implemented the module on my site.

As far as I know, there isn't.

On another note, do you really want to limit your product list for reward purchases? From a customer's perspective, I might be a bit turned off if I'm only allowed a certain group of products to use with my reward points. Limiting the product list can make the reward points less of a reward. Right now, I can't think of other reward programs at department stores in which they say you can't use reward points to purchase certain items. Something to think about regarding how your target market might perceive the limitations.

You can set it to not give reward points to a certain category on your site. I have a category for clearance closeouts I do not give reward points out since they are getting up to 69% off anyway. This doesn't mean they cant use reward points at checkout if they have some accumulated already. The easiest way would be to put all your discounted items into a Category called Discounts and then go to Admin->Catalog>Reward Points>set the Redeem value of that category to 0.

Go back and check your files to make sure they all uploaded correctly to your "admin" folder, or to the custom folder name you are using. Sometime depending on which ftp program you are using the file size might have uploaded wrong or you could have miss changing the folder name to match yours..

On the other hand, I'm doing an upgrade to Zen Cart 1.5.0 and the mod doesn't seem to work with it. Could this be your case?
