Page layout Attribute fine tuning

So I have been playing with this for a couple days now and looking at everything I could think of to try and get things the way I want them. Most of the time I change some of the layout options seems like something random will disappear. Anyways, I am trying to make the "Customize This Now" tab found here: http://eternityetchings.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=1

looks more like this right here :

Should be pretty obvious at all the alignment changes. Alot of little things, and alot of things I have already accomplished. One of the biggest things that :censored: me right now is that stupid TEXT that shows up after the attribute image. I have no idea what that is and I have a feeling its going to be something simple.

Yea, some guidance would be greatly appreciated.

includes/ templates/ your_template/ css/ stylesheet.css

Add the following declaration to the .css

  1. .attribImg b {display:none;}
  2. See if this does not control the issue..
  3. Beautiful site by the way :smile:

Re: Page layout Attribute fine tuning

Been messing with the layout check it out, see if you like:smile:

Find the following in your sheet:

.wrapperAttribsOptions { display:block;
margin: 0.3em 0em;
}

  1. now add this right below:

.wrapperAttribsOptions {
margin: -1em 0em 0em 0em;
padding: 0em 0em 0em 0em;}

.optionName {margin: 0em 1em 0em 0em}

.attribImg b {display:none;}

  1. apply the changes right underneath .wrapperAttribsOptions to see if you like, if not just delete them, and you retain your original settings

Re: Page layout Attribute fine tuning

Thanks for the responses. I tried placing the above code in and it did fix the alignment of the count box for the characters, but the text boxes are aligned with the counter. can we throw a float:left in there somewhere ahaha. I can't seem to find anything.

I can usually make small changes to code that is already there but entering new code is beyond me.

Thanks for the comment on the site btw. Wish I could take all the credit but it was a template that I thought fit perfectly with what I am going to be selling. Just trying to make it my own.

Whew, this is a tough one....

Find this in the sheet:
.optionName {margin: 0em 1em 0em 0em}

  1. Replace the whole line with this:
  1. .optionName {margin: 0em 33em 0em 0em;}
  1. Notice I forgot the ;

Re: Page layout Attribute fine tuning

Yes its being a pain. Fixed those issues and changed it to 33 but that just pushed the text count over all the way to the right. Ive tried playing with all the numbers in that margin and can't get the desired effect.

Keep with the procedure above and change the 33 to 43, 53 etc..

Ph,
What do mean by the word TEXT

Here is a small fix:

includes/ templates/ your_template/ css/ stylesheet_tm.css

Find this:

  1. .menu ul li.li_none {
    background:transparent none repeat scroll 0%;
    }
  2. add the following to this declaration
  3. padding-top:3.5em;
  4. This will control the Home button

Re: Page layout Attribute fine tuning

Wow this is really depressing. So the Home button location seems to be a firefox issue, It works fine in safari and I took a browser snapshot from different IE and it works fine there too. So I decided to take a look if there was any other differences and this is bad.

Sorry for the big images but you need to see the detail.

As you can see from the first image, Firefox is on the left and Safari is on the right. Mind you I am using a mac with latest updates on all software.

The menu on the right is what it is suppose to look like, firefox jacks all this up. Go down a little bit and you will notice that the big black image is missing. Go down even further and you will notice the Wood color options are gone. I did your home button fix and it just misaligns everything in safari for me. Now onto the next image.

here you see the images with the example text are missing in firefox as well. Those are pretty important lol. But...on the right hand side you will notice the work TEXT under each image. I have no idea where that came from.

So ya....Why can't all the browsers be the same :/

Re: Page layout Attribute fine tuning

Yes,
But notice the TEXT came back to haunt us..

Use developers tool kit to find TEXT
It is hard coded in a template you are using...

Re: Page layout Attribute fine tuning

New correction to the .css

Find this:
.wrapperAttribsOptions { display:block;
margin: 0.3em 0em;
}

.wrapperAttribsOptions {
margin: 0em 0em 0em 0em;
padding: 0em 0em 0em 0em;}

.optionName {margin: 0em 0em 0em; 0em;
padding: 1em 0em 0em 0em;}

.attribsTextarea {float: left;}

Change to this:

.wrapperAttribsOptions {
margin: 0em 0em 0em 0em;
padding: 0em 0em 0em 0em;}

.optionName {margin: 0em 0em 0em; 0em;
padding: 1em 0em 0em 0em;}

.attribsTextarea {float: left;}

Find this:
This is optional just remember the settings. Or look in this thread:smile:

.attribImg {
width: 20%;
margin: 0.3em 0em;
}

Change to this:

.attribImg {
width: 20%;
margin: 0.3em 0.5em 0em 0em;
}

Re: Page layout Attribute fine tuning

Well it doesn't look like its in my template. Changed the template back to classic and it was still there. So I was thinking it could be possibly related to the TABS PRO but I still haven't found anything. Lots and lots of the word "TEXT"

Re: Page layout Attribute fine tuning

When I view the source in firefox it says:

<br class="clearBoth" /> <div class="attribImg"><img src="images/attributes/wl-01-text01.jpg" alt="" width="487" height="74" /><br />TEXT</div> <br class="clearBoth" />

Here is the bad boy we want to delete from a .php sheet..
