Can't see add to cart button

This is a VERY steep learning curve. I've installed the cart and products, got the pages showing the bits I want (mainly).

I added all the products, with stock and pricing. When I go to the store home and navigate to a product, I can see the following bits:

Breadcrumbs
Category Title
Product x/x (I don't want this, I assume I edit the template later)
Previous/Category/Next (also don't want this)
Image (also don't want this)
Product Name
Product Price
Product Description
Product Reference (don't need this)
Product Stock (don't need this)
Write a review image/link (don't need this)
Tell a Friend image/link (don't need this)

The customer can only order one of any product (they are adverts) and the supply is unlimited (I put stock of 1000 in for now!)

I am not logged in as a customer, just a guest. Why can't I see an Add to Cart button?

These are the settings I have:

Display Product Price/Add to Cart is set to 3
Display Product Add to Cart Button is set to 1

Or does the customer need to log in first?

I noticed you are still using the classic template...

We need to step back, just a little..

1. Using the override system means you don't have to worry about over-writing your custom files when an upgrade comes along, because they are all in custom directories you will create below.
2. Click on the link below, notice the tutorial/faqs on the top right hand side

4. Notice the blue header bar, click Index
5. Scroll down to override system, click
6. click on the override system really simplified, https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/index.php?article=143
7. you will need to use a ftp program and create these folders
8. now read this article

10. after you finish that little step, read the article below

12. So, now when you want to edit a .php file, first upload the file to your custom folder and then edit the puppy..

Thanks for the advice.

I think I am going to have to start again, do it step by step as it were. I have already started making custom files, all of which are working, as a custom template.

Just confirm these steps are likely to succeed!

1. Rename the current cart folder to keep the custom bits safe.
2. Rename the db's to backup.
3. Re-install to same folder and db names as before.
4. Add one category and product.
5. Check the site page to see if the add to cart is there.
6. Slowly mod making sure all is well as I go.
