Product images uploading correctly but not displaying

Hi,

I recently created my first ZC site for a client in England (https://www.silksflora.com).

I created the first 40-odd products for them, then handed over the keys. They have recently started to add new products, and are having difficulties with having their images show up.

They appear to be following the correct procedures for adding images, using the admin pages. I bought them the ZC manual and wrote out precise instructions for them to follow. In reviewing their Product definition, all appears correct.

I have browsed the server using ftp to verify that their images have correctly uploaded to the /images directory, and that the filenames are correct. The rights on the /images directory are wide open 777.

When displaying the products, though, the images don't appear.

If I inspect the rendered html source for the product page, I can see the correct file/path information, and if I manually point the browser to the indicated file/path, I see the uploaded image! It just isn't being rendered in the context of the product pages.

Frankly, I'm baffled. I corrected all but one of the products, which I left as an example. When I say 'corrected', I simply re-did the upload from here in North America as per the proscribed method, and everything worked as it should. The site is hosted on a GoDaddy Linux box.

If anyone can help me, the remaining wonky example product is "Ficus Exotica Natural" in the "Corporate | Interior Plant & Trees" section. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Stephen

Re: Product images uploading correctly but not displaying

I have notice a small errror in attributes.

Attributes, Force to Select

Right now I can add to the cart and not select a color.. BAD. I am automatically linked to the shopping cart with the default color Black, but really I wanted White..

The beauty of this procedure: Is a warning box appears at the top of the page stating they have not selected a attribute color you offer to the customer.

Example of what it should look like in the Option Value Manager:
(The 0, 10, 20, 30 are the sort orders)

Please Select Color 0
Deep Rose 10
White/Cream 20
Orange 30

You need to add one extra value To Color:

  1. In the Option Value Manager under Color
  2. Add the following: Please Select Color
  3. Sort Order 0

Now in Attribute Controller for each product with this Value:

  1. Add, Please Select Color to product, sort order 0
  2. Associate the flag properties to Please Select Color
  3. Under Attribute Flags: the colored boxes
  4. Yellow box, Used for Display purpose only: Click Yes
  5. Tan box, Default Attribute to be marked selected: Click Yes

Re: Product images uploading correctly but not displaying

Umm, are you sure you posted this reply to the correct thread? It seems to have nothing to do with my query...

Yes, I understand that, but when I went to your products page, I noticed this small, very little detail..

Re: Product images uploading correctly but not displaying

I don't know if you resolvd this problem or not but I was experiencing it today.

There was an image handling module on the site that was set to OFF when I turned it on the images started working fine again

I would just check CONFIGUATION>IMAGES in your admin panel
