Error 1054

Good morning all, Can I please get help on the following error:

1054 Unknown column 'p.products_id' in 'on clause'

How do I stop this from happening again?

Zen Cart 1.2.4 would require extensive patching to be compatible with PHP Version 5.1.6 and MySQL 5.0.22

Best and easier to use Zen Cart ver 1.3.8a
