All Products Link

Hey guys, what exactly is the benefit of showing the all products link. Is there any type of benefit in doing this if as a store we carry thousands upon thousands of products?

I guess it really depends on the type of product. It works really well for one of the store we did for our customers, which wholesells office supplies. The buyers already know what they need. Of course we still have the usual product listing page, the page where we list all things are just for experienced buyers.
