Native Quantity Discount not working with attributes?

I am running version 1.3.8 and have tried this on two different shops that I am building with the same results both times. I would prefer the native quantity discount tool over the quantity discount mod for what I am doing since there will be only a few categories and products that will have quantity discounts and they might vary from one to the other.

Here's the problem:

  1. I add a product which is priced based on attributes, so the base price is $0. We'll say there's a large which is $10.00 and a small which is $5.00.

  2. I add a quantity discount of, say, 10% for purchases over 10 items.

  3. I order 1 large item (at $10.00) theoretically. For some reason, my cart will show the correct size in the description but will show the price of the small item ($4.50 which is correct for the small item) I don't even have to order more than 1 item to screw it up, it screws up as soon as I add a quantity discount.

  4. If I remove the quantity discount, the attribute pricing works OK, so it's not an issue with that.

Has anyone else run into this problem?

See an example at http://www.heart4haitians.com/store

Try to order one large itemwithattribs in the test items folder and see what happens. It's so sad!!!

Check your qty pricing settings

lrg - add 1 to 9 price is $5
add 10 - price is $9

Re: Native Quantity Discount not working with attributes?

Weird. I added a quantity discount of 1 and set the discount to 0 and it worked fine, but THEN I put it on sale and tried to have a quantity discount off of the sale price and we're back to square one. :frusty: Try it now. I have two quantity discounts: a min quantity of 1 is a 0% discount (off of the special price) and a min quantity of 10 is 10% off - once again off the sale price.

I tend to believe it's a bug in the program but maybe I'm just loopy. Unfortunately, I'm fairly new with ZC so it would take me a while to snivle through the code looking for a bug and I really don't have time for that.

Cheers

I would tend to believe that it is a bug in your settings for this. As a true bug would have 100's of posts and the Dev's would have addressed it

You appear to have this item set to a sale price of 10% off instead of letting the quantity discount handle it

Re: Native Quantity Discount not working with attributes?

Thanks for the quick reply. Maybe it's not a bug, but I still don't see why it shouldn't work the way I have it set up.

So you're saying I can't have an item on sale and have a quantity discount on it as well? I could set it up so the quantity discount handles everything, but then the item wouldn't show up on the sale page when I want to put it on sale.
