COMING SOON! Can it be done?

Has anyone done products that aren't released yet, but can be designated as COMING SOON?

Say add it under my HOME drop down menu? Right now HOME has the following; New Products, All Products, Specials and Search

When you're adding a product, there's an area at the very top to put in
the Date Available, then it will be displayed in the Upcoming Products.

... then go to admin->configuration->Index Listing and try the "Show Upcoming Products" settings.

This does not exist at this time in the same format as the New Products centerbox ...

There is the Upcoming Centerbox that lists the products in a row ...

You could customize that centerbox to meet your needs with the templates and overrides ...

I would also like the Upcoming Products to show up in a link instead of on the main page.

I have a few upcoming products, but they don't show in the upcoming box.... The box itself shows, so I guess zen knows something's up, pardon the pun... I've checked max values for upcoming, and index listing.

What else influence if they show or not...?

If you see the box for Upcoming Products but not the Products then it sounds like a template issue or some code has been removed, corrupted, etc.

If you switch to the Classic Template, do you see them properly?

Not that big, if you have only added edited files to your custom template....
Just check each file in your override folders
