Shipping is not being calculated

I have set all the modules / shipping to flat rate of $7.95 and no shipping is coming up in the shopping basket at all!

I am hoping it is a very obvious solution!

When you say all the modules ... do you mean that you have only the Flat Rate shipping module installed?

Or do you have other shipping modules installed?

If everything is 7.95 ... you should only need to install the Flat Rate flat shipping module for this ...

Did you set zones on this shipping module that might be filtering it for specific addresses?

Also check in Configuration ... Shipping/Packing ... what you have set the 0 weight means Free Shipping to ...

If 0 weight does NOT mean Free Shipping, then turn that OFF ...

If 0 weight DOES mean Free Shipping, turn that ON and install the Free Shipping freeshipper shipping module ...

Thanks for that! It will now estimate the postage when I hit the button - is their any way to display the postage in the subtotal??

Sorry -

When I add an item to the shopping cart it shows me the item and the cost and then the subtotal at the bottom.

It then has the 'estimate shipping' button, which if I click on, this shows up the $7.95 flat rate.

This amount does not show up in the subtotal (only the item cost).

I was assuming that the postage must get added on in the final payment page (I haven't configured paypal properly yet so can't go that far)

I was hoping that I could get the postage to show up on the first page under the items in the shopping basket.

Am I making any sense???

Check that you have the Admin ... Modules ... Order Totals ... Shipping ot_shipping ... installed ...
