changes in product listing

I would like to draw a border around every product by itself, in product listing (border around image-name-price), and to add background color to it. tried to do it in stylesheet but no luck, any help?

also, in centerboxes every row is separated from the other row (background color, that is), I can't manage to have them all stick together along with the centerbox header which is also separated. im sure there's some simple solution to this...

Well, we gotta see your site online, check your code, then see if we can help. Nothing we can do with the images, there are unlimited ways to code and achieve the same design, and there are unlimited ways for it to go wrong as well.
