more product types based on general layout

Hi

I have a project where the customer sells astrological charts and he collects allot of information from the customer via attributes but the attributes are different for each product of which there is about 10.

I want to hack the product_info_display.php template so that I can rework the attributes so that they are displayed really nicely as I have done on https://www.gobetweencards.co.uk

I want to be able to hand code the different attributes onto custom product_info_default.php for each product type.

My question is this.
Would making new product types for each type of astrological chart be the best way of doing this and how would I force the shop to use a custom version of product_info_display.php for the different types of chart.

I have not used the different product types before but I think this would be the best way of achieving what I am after.

It might be worth looking at one of the product type contributions in the downloads area to see which files get altered/created for a new product type. The main product_info_display file is one of the files that's built specific to the product type, so should give you the flexibility you asked about.
