Catagories keep disappearing...

Hi,

I have Zen Cart 1.3.8 installed, and am having problems with the Category links keep disappearing.

I think it is a template problem. I am using a modified 'Red Passion' template - when I return to default templates the problem goes away.

If you look on the left under the 'Products' heading, you will see that sometimes the category links are there, and sometimes they are not. They usually disappear when you click on a link. It doesn't seem to affect a specific page.

Any ideas what could be causing this?

Thanks...

Re: Catagories keep disappearing...

Ok, I reinstalled a fresh Red Passion theme - and the same thing still occurs.

Another thing I have noticed, if I make any changes in the Admin panel (such as add a new product). Then the categories will appear on the site, but only for one click. Click on anything on the site and then the categories disappear again...

Then suggest you choose another template, instead of Red Passion,
or search forums, see if anyone else has had same problem and has
created fix for that particular template.

Re: Catagories keep disappearing...

It actually looks like I have screwed something up with the template. Just re-installed it again - and it seems to work ok.

Just means I need to do a step-by-step transfer of the modified parts...

Re: Catagories keep disappearing...

One more question - sorry.

Is there a file within a template directory which controls the Category elements?

Hi,

I have Zen Cart 1.3.8 installed, and am having problems with the Category links keep disappearing...

Hi, I am experiencing a similar problem. I have tried everything, I've even tried using a totally fresh set of files from the original package, classic templates, using a backup, reinstalling the database from a back up before this issue occured. I am pulling my hair out!

If I make a change to anything, it appears once, and then disapears again, leaving just the '>' to denote more...

PLEASE community, please try and help me :)
