Change All Products page layout

I have searched high and low and the answer to this is probably here somewhere LOL

On the all products page, mine here:

I want to move the description up under the price and I know it's probably a file I need to modify but I can't find which one.....if anyone can tell me which one and explain as you would to a blonde how to make the changes LOL I would be grateful....I am using Zen Cart v1.3.8a

The image handler refuses to hover for me too, but that's probably a question for another thread lol

Finally found where to edit the layout all by myself LOL

templates/tpl_modules_products_all_listing.php and always save this edited copy in your custom folder :D

Why do you want to change it? Do you want it to look different from the category listing page or similar to that?

The reason I want to change the product_all listing is that currently it is just a single column listing of product images with pricing. The formation is not appealing. No text etc. If there were more images per page it would be ok.

As I understand it there are switches in admin > index listing that will allow you to indicate the Products Columns per Row However, products_all listing is not there. I find no switch for products_all in admin.

My intent was to have two or three columns of 10 or 12 products per page for the products_all listings. I could have some brief description or not. But, I did not like just one column per page that is the current default.

I just now found another thread that did provide me with code to change the number of columns. http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=81638&highlight=tpl_modules_products_all_listing.php However, I always get 10 images per page and I do not see where I can change that in **tpl_modules_products_all_listing.php

**So, I believe I can now do more columns I just can't change the number of images per page.

Do you know how to change the number of images per page?

Set the amount of products (images) to display there :)

Since my original post in this thread I have made a number of changes to my site, one of which was to pay to have all my product listing pages look the same, anyone wants more information on this can PM me lol

Why does one have to pay to have that? I have posted a very detailed topic "single listing template" to address this issue. I even posted sample code and a sample package for that.

Yes, there was a very detailed thread on how to get the all products/new products etc to look like the category listings...however I wanted it the other way around (category, specials and the bestsellers page mod listings to look like all/new/featured listings) and not only could not find detailed explanations on how to achieve that....but I am not a competent enough coder/programmer to know how to do it myself so I paid someone who is.....

Im really not following you :D

Since basically you want to have the same template for all pages, you just have to change the look of the category listing any way you want (yes, you can change it to look any way you want), and then apply the "same template" for others, then you are done.

Just changing those three (category, special and the bestsellers) required skills that far surpassed my meager ones (both are coded completely differently, might be easy for you but not for me lol), and paying someone with those skills was a choice I happily made, doesn't mean everyone else has to happily make that same choice but those that do....I am glad there are ppl like you and others...and the person I paid LOL...who can do it for us :wink:
