Customer said had problem creating account-dob problem

I had a potential, now probably gone into the neather regions, customer call and leave a message the other day that they were having trouble creating an account on my site. He said that the date of birth part was creating some sort of strange loop that kept returning him to a blank set up page.

I can't duplicate the error, and was wondering if anyone would mind giving it a try. You can use an off the wall fake name and email address if you like just to see if it works, or let me know and I can delete any real accounts if you wish.

If you can help, I would appreciate it very much.

Thanks Kobra. It's deleted. There must have been something going on though for the customer to be concerned enough to actually call on the phone just to politely let me know he was having a problem.

Maybe it was just "one of those things".

I did not try this but you might try creating an account and leaving out the dob and see what happens

I'm actually considering leaving out the DOB field alltogether. I never sell anything on any of my sites that requires age verification anyway, so, why bother?

I have a customer who has called me and I can reproduce his problem. He is trying to create an account. The system keeps asking him to check his date of birth. He is entering it in the correct format. His date of birth is 17/07/1937 (dd/mm/yyyy). Version 1.3.7.1.

I can disable the d.o.b. field by going to Configuration->Customer Deatils and setting it to false, but although the text implies that minimum date of birth can be set/unset, I do not see any way of doing this - it seems to have two values, true or false.

Has anyone any suggestions?
