Images not showing in HTML messages sent to hotmail

Normal non web-based mails are working perfectly (Microsoft Outlook) but for examble in "Hotmail" there is no images (only these small "x" 's and alt_text). All text properties which are modified with HTML are OK. If I look properties for "x" with alt_text "logo" there is URL: http://email/header.jpg It should be in my case: http://mammakko.eu/verkkokauppa/email/header.jpg
Properties for one FCK editors smiley: http:///verkkokauppa/editors/fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/msn/shades_smile.gif
Should be: http://mammakko.eu/verkkokauppa/editors/fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/msn/shades_smile.gif
Part of all URL addresses for images are missed.
Any suggestions to fix this problem?

I have the same problems with Yahoo but it works in other email applications for some reason.

yeah me also having problems with images not showing to yahoo, hotmail or gmail :(

any updates on this? the X image is happening to me in hotmail too. haven't tried outlook yet.

I'm having the exact same problem. The newsletter in html shows correctly on yahoo. But on hotmail, it doesn't work (header.jpg) is not displayed. Any help out there would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

It's not that I am not reading, I just don't know the answer.
Maybe there is no answer, that's just the way Hotmail handles images.

Hi, I had the same problem with the logo in hotmail, and I changed every html document in public_html/email folder :(email_template_checkout, email_contact_us,etc...) like this:

For me the image showed in Outlook and Windows Live by default... now with this fix the image now shows in a browser using Hotmail. Haven't tested anything else yet.

Indeed, setting an absolute path for the image seems to work, whereas leaving the relative path does not.
I tried some embellishments, like so:
suppose your site is https://www.ballbearings.com
then replace the img line with:
<img src="http://www.ballbearings.com/email/header.jpg" width="290" height="98" border="1" alt="Ball Bearings" title="Ball Bearings" />
All this will work if you customize it.
Just copy and paste to all the templates.
