Zen Cart Installed But Loading Pages VERY Slowly on GoDaddy

Hey all,

I installed Zen Cart around 6 weeks ago and have done very little with it since (I was ahead of my game when installing it, but I wanted it in place early. Now I am to the point of starting to get the website side in order).

I installed the Apple Zen template and everything was looking good.
Now, 6 weeks later, my website is loading very slowly. It doesn't gradually load slowly like other sites I have visited over the last hour, who posted about load times. It just sits there for 5-15 seconds, before finally kicking into gear and loading the page reasonably fast.

Any pointers to what might be causing this?
I have GoDaddy hosting and can find any answers to any potential helping questions.

My site is www.shirt10tees.com
(The color scheme is bad and would be changed by now if the speed was there, still 6 weeks from launch....)

Thanks in advance!

Re: Zen Cart Installed But Loading Pages VERY Slowly on GoDaddy

Your situation is common to people Hosting with GoDaddy.

Search this Forum for "GoDaddy" and I'm sure you'll find lots of threads from others that were in the same boat as yourself.

Not sure if "you" can do anything about it, except to move to another Hoster.

The learning is in the doing.

Re: Zen Cart Installed But Loading Pages VERY Slowly on GoDaddy

Thank you for the reply.

On you advice I did indeed search here for GoDaddy, and yeesh.......

I have a couple of recommendations in for new hosts, and I will be going down that path shortly.

Early (pre-launch) lesson learnt. Cheap hosting is the equivalent of a bad physical store location.
Make sure you get a good physically location (good virtual host).

Thanks again
