1.3.8 new install - can't get my localhost to run it

(Trouble with xampp
http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=96820)
Have installed Easyphp Version2.0 =
Apache 2.2.3
PHP 5.2.0
PHPMYADMIN 2.9.1.1
SQLITEMANAGER 1.2.0
MYSQL 5.0.27
I cannot get it to read the zc_install, I have created some test php files with success, unzip ZC 1.3.8 installed into Easyphp renamed main folder, Easyphp appears to read new folder but not Zencart?, eg
localhost/name, blank page
localhost/name/zc_install, http notfound 404
localhost/name/index.php, http notfound404
localhost/name/images/banners/125zen_logo http notfound404

inserted test.php into /name/ folder, ran test.
localhost/name/test.php, test.php ok
:frusty:

Any idea's???

What folder did you rename?
I use easyphp (can't recalll the ver) and their is a www folder that you can create additional folders in and into these expand scripts

Re: 1.3.8 new install - can't get my localhost to run it

Thanks for the responce Kobra, zen-cart-v1.3.8a-full-fileset-12112007 is the folder that I renamed. I have found that the HTACCESS file was missing from zc_install. Can now access Zen install.:clap::clap: Do I need to change permissions 777 or what ever it is????

To Answer the outher Question, if you go to Easyphp admin, scroll down to phpmyadmin, click on mysqlmnager you can create a database.

Then open your Easyphp folders, in there, there is a folder named www put your data folder in (same name as dat base I presume) and it should be right to go (so I believe) type in your directory,
http://localhost/name/ and you know the rest. But I would'nt put my life on it yet as i am lacking very little success so far.
