How do I add a clickable link to a pdf?

I would like to add a pdf file that people can download as a consignment contract.

I do not want to create a new page or add this as an attribute.

All I want to do is have a line that reads "To download the consignment contract, CLICK HERE."

Any help would be appreciated.

Depending how your users machines are set up:

To download the consignment contract, <a href="pathtofile.pdf">CLICK HERE.</a>
```.
You are better saying To download the consignment contract, RIGHT CLICK HERE AND SAVE. As clicking might just launch the PDF in their browser.

In case anyone else needs to know.

Like anything, it doesn't matter where it lives on your server as long as you link to it properly.
In this case I would suggest creating a pdf folder at root level and linking:

domain.com/pdf/contract.pdf

Keeps things nice and tidy.
