New products causes category to become un-viewable

I am in the process of setting up a store and adding products and categories. All was going well till I tried to add products to the last category. When a new product is added to this category its page (on the website –front end) becomes un-viewable.

When empty of products the category page displays normally.
The category is not a sub category.

• I tried moving it to ‘Top’ Zen Cart reports that the move was successful but no effect on the page.
• New categories will not accept products either.
• Old categories continue to work as normal.

Anyone come across this bug before?

I have no mix of categories and products. Just categories with products in them.

I note in the thread you suggested that the problem could be caused by a 'bad product' or by uploading very large images. Now this is a possibility which I will explore next.

A. Blank, White page, Page source is blank! Nothing generated but the url.

The problem turned out to be with english.php
I uploaded a clean version of this file and the site started working again.
I had noticed in the past that editing this file particular file with Dreamweaver8 would cause the whole site malfunction. This is the first time I have experienced a partial malfunction. It appears Dreamweaver adds some kind of extra invisible code like linebreaks etc. I try to use Notepad2 to edit this file but I must have used Dreamweaver months ago and because I did not experience any problems then, I forgot I did it :)

I've never seen Dreamweaver add any garbage when working in Code View.
Nevertheless, I'm glad you were able to figure it out using the debug logging tool.

Yep its a new one on me as well :) I have not encountered this problem with any other script before.

However, my version is old and used to write and debug scripts other than php. It may well be that my configuration is the problem. It may also be that this Dreamweaver's has acquired errors over the years but I have noticed extra line breaks in code view that are not in the original file. This only obvious when debugging using other tools.
