Free Shipping Options and zones - not working

Ok, I finally upgraded my site from 1.3.5 to 1.3.8 mainly because I'd heard of a bug int he shipping zones in the earlier version, not to mention the number of fixes and enhancements in the new one.

Anyway, now that I have my upgraded site, I tried set up a shipping zone for Canada and US (all areas) to allow for free shipping to those countries. I then went to my shipping methods and installed the Free Shipping Options module and set up free shipping with a total >= 60.00 and applied it to my Free Shipping zone I had set up.

However, it doesn't work. I tried placing an order with an overseas address and it allows me free shipping. Even the little circle in the sort order (under shipping modules) is yellow next to the Free Shipping Options module, as opposed to green like it is next to my USPS module.

Why won't this work? I've uninstalled it and reinstalled it a few times, but nothing. Did I set up my zones wrong? What gives? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Figured this out,

Going into Modules > Shipping.

uninstall both free options and freeshipper

ONLY RE-INSTALL FREE OPTIONS.

Do not enter a number for <=, I had 0.00 in there and I think it did not like that.

Enter only the number for =>

Fill out any other fields you may need.

That should do the trick.

BTW, Make sure you right down your setting before you do the free shipping uninstalls.

I managed to get mine figured out too. In order totals > Shipping mod the "allow free shipping" was activated thus overriding the way I had it set up in the shipping area. All fixed!
