New Products on products page (removal)

On the products page, I would like to remove the (New Products For May) session and if possible on every page. How can I do that?

Also, is there a way I could remove left column on every page?
Thanks, would really appreciate your help.

Check Admin - Configuration - Index Listing

**Admin - Configuration - Layout Settings - Column Left Staus - Global ** set to '0'

this only removes it from the main page, but when I go to the products/catalog page it comes once again.

Re: New Products on products page (removal)

In Admin->Configuration->Index Listing there are several "Show New Products ... xxxxxx" options. Set them all to 0 if you don't want them to display.
