How do I assign attributes to attributes of a product?

I am trying to accomplish this: Say for a computer purchase (product), I need to choose the size of memory (attribute), then for each size, I'll have to assign another set of attributes like brand name. Like the following:

Computer for sale
choose your memory size:
1GB
Kingston
PNY
512MB
Centon
Samsung
256MB
....

It is easy to assign the first (higher) set of attributes, but how could I do the lower set of attributes? Basically, the size is the 'option value' initially. But when assigning the lower-level attributes, it should be 'option name'. Is there anyway to do this? Let me know please Thanks so much!
