Popup vs Lightbox

Hi I have recently installed the latest version of lightbox especially as used in other websites it is great for multiple images viewing.

Unfortunately I am having a problem which searching the forum does not seem to solve. Some members have suggested mix and match options with other 'boxes' which have similar layered effects, but I don't need to complicate my systems any further, especially when eventually the client will be maintaining the cart themselves for most things. I certainly don't want to have to just upload the photos for them.

The Problem: My extra images load automatically and use the lightbox effect, but the original product photo still opens in a javascript popup box..I have cleared my cache, etc to load the proper page but still have not resolved the problem....
