Sharing a portion of proceeds as Charitable Donations

I've looked through all the modules and didn't see anything pertaining to this question and briefly looked through the forums (although my search key words found nothing, I may have missed it) - so I am posting this question here for lack of not knowing where else to post it.

I want to be able to give a percentage of a sale of specific items to charitable foundations, but I am not sure how I can do this other than having to do it manually. So my question is basically, would anyone happen to know if there is

• a way to set up a function that would allow specific products that would create statements/receipts that shows the customer that, for example 15% of the proceeds of the item are being sent to a specific charitable foundation, and
• some way to automate this process within the payment module so that the admin would see that sale and be able to seperate it from the other portion of the sale?

I'm not sure if I am getting my point across very clearly - I know what I want to do in my head - its just trying to word it so I can make you all understand what I am seeking. I've been told I think too much! :blink:

I'm thinking that this may be something that I would have to do manually, but before I did that, I wanted to check to see if there was an automation process that I could use instead.

Any feedback/information would be extremely helpful at this point.
