Blank page - 500 error - accessing admin

I'm having a problem - When I try to log in via the admin page it goes to blank HTTP500 Internal Server Error.

I loaded zen cart via Fantastico Deluxue several times with the same error, then I tried to manually load, and the same problem is still happening. The store is fine, I just can't get into the Admin area....very discouraging

I am willing to pay someone to help......

Try renaming/disabling the admin .htaccess file for a check

If you have v1.3.8a like me everything I tried didn't work. I downloaded v1.3.8 instead and upload it into the server while leaving all files there from v1.3.8a. After that everything works.
