How do I activate SSL on login/payment pages?

Hello, first post here!

I am the webmaster for an independent record shop. I am in the process of setting up a website with Zencart 1.3.8 which is working well, but I cannot seem to figure out a simple but important security step!

We have SSL (finally) set up on the server, but I need to know how to make the pages change to HTTPS when a login or payment page is used. We are using the Offline Credit Card payment option as we have a credit card machine in store. At the moment, all links stay on HTTP unless manually changed in the address bar.

I cannot seem to find anything in the Admin area, nor this forum - will I need to manually edit PHP files to make the links change to HTTPS?

Once this is done, I can enable our store! As it stands, the store is 'down for maintenance' as obviously I don't want anyone to pass details through an unsecured page.

Grateful for any help!

Cheers
James
