Hosting Company—Downloads more than 60seconds cannot use php.
My hosting company changed me to a new platform which caused my downloads to no longer work. They sent me this email:
Hello Carina,
I am writing regarding the thread # 5050081 .
Regarding the downloads not completing when downloaded from the zen cart script
in your account , we looked into it. It appears that in the new platform, there
is fixed limit of 60 seconds for those downloads that use a PHP script to
download. The downloads need to finish within this period of time , as after
this period the server will close the connection. Therefore, as a workaround,
you need to modify the downloads so that they are accomplished through a FTP
download link or http download link or in other words you should make it so
that the download process is handled by Browser instead of the PHP script.
