product name cut off in display

I searched and searched but cannot find the answer here.

My product name is not shown in full. I removed the right column but the product name did not lengthen. Can someone please help?

I am using 1.3.8.

The product name should finish with shoulder pulley but it is cut off after the sho.

Template Monster strikes again!
There is a limit on product name length in the database, but it is 64 characters.
TM has seen fit to limit the display as you see.

They have also set a short cutoff of description length which ignores word divisions, unlike the standard ZC behavior of truncating to whole words.

So this means I can't do anything about it? Can I change the length anywhere? This looks horrible. My client is going to be angry if I cannot get this fixed.:no:

It should be fixable, but TM changes the code so much that we can't advise where to do it.

If you search in admin > Tools > Developers Toolkit for main_cell_h_text, you should find the file where this output is built. Post that file between ```
[php] and [/php]

It's really TM's problem, but they won't help fix it. Complain to them anyway... maybe eventually they will get tired of selling defective products.

OK, looks like you've found the culprit.

The substr($name,0,20) is a PHP function that in this case uses only the first 20 characters of $name (starting at 0 - the beginning). Try changing the 20 and see what results you get.
